3 CALLING FOR BID PROPOSALS TO BE SUBMITTED BY QUALIFIED
4 LEGAL NEWSPAPERS TO SERVE AS THE OFFICIAL
5 COUNTY NEWSPAPER FROM JULY 1, 1989 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1990
6 WHEREAS, Revised Code of Washington 36.72.075 requires the County
7 Council to contract with a legal newspaper to serve one year as the official
8 county newspaper beginning on the first day of July; and,
9 WHEREAS, said statute requires the County Auditor to advertise for bid
10 proposals from qualified legal newspapers interested in serving as the
11 official county newspaper; and,
12 WHEREAS, said advertisement shall be made at least five (5) weeks before
13 the meeting at which the Council shall let the contract for the official
14 County newspaper.
15 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County Auditor is directed to
16 issue a call for bids for the official County newspaper for the year beginning
17 July 1, 1989 and ending June 30, 1990, both dates inclusive. Said bids will
18 be opened, read aloud and considered at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, 1989, in
19 the Council's conference room, courthouse second floor, Bellingham.
