.to the Interagency for Outdoor• Recreation as provided by the.Federal Land, Water and Consump-
tion Act.

SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Washington State .Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation (IAC) required a signed
resolution from the County Council as part of its requirements for a grant application. The
-application is for a grant to refurbish the Plantation Rifle Range, of which the County's
share of the money will come from the 1988 Parks Levy Fund..
-The Plantation Rifle.Range is part of the "Comprehensive Park and Recreation Open Space Plan"
which was approved by.the County Council, and refurbishing it is consistent with the, "Plan ".

RESOLUTION NO. 90 -87
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION
TO THE INTERAGENCY COMMITTEE FOR OUTDOOR RECREATION FOR
FUNDING ASSISTANCE FOR AN OUTDOOR RECREATION PROJECT
FROM FUNDS AVAILABLE THROUGH THE FIREARMS RANGE
PROGRAM AS PROVIDED BY R.C.W. 77.12.
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the Firearms Range Program, state funding assistance has
been authorized and made available to aid in the acquisition, development, and renovation of
firearm range training and practice facilities,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the County Council of Whatcom County,
Washington,
1) That formal application be made to the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation for
fund assistance,
2) That the Whatcom County Council agrees to comply with all relevant laws, rules and
program guidelines for the Firearms Range Program, and
3) That the sponsor share of funds for the proposed project are available through the 1988
. Park Levy Fund and Force Account, and
4) That this resolution become part of a formal application to the Interagency Committee for
Outdoor Recreation.
Adopted by the Whatcom County Council at its regular meeting this --I day of
