SUMMARY STATEMENT:
This project is a continuation of the Annual Roadside Hazard Reduction Program, which
began in 1988.
This project calls for the installation of approximately 12,500 lineal feet of
guardrail in sixteen locations around the County. Also included in this project
is the strengthening of guardrail and posts on the Hampton Road Bridge, just south
of the Lynden city limits.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Award of bid to the low bidder, Corali Construction Company, in the amount of
$258,499.00.,.incl.uding taxes.

ESTABLISHING COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 99198
AND THE AWARD OF THE CONTRACT FOR GUARDRAIL SITE
IMPROVEMENTS, VARIOUS LOCATIONS
WHEREAS, this project is a part of the officially adopted 1990 Annual Road
Program in accordance with RCW 36.81.130 as Item No. 4.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council:
That CRP 99198 is formally established for Guardrail Site Improvements,
Various Locations.
The contract for this project is awarded to CORAL CONSTRUCTION CO. in
the amount of their bid of $ 258,499.00 including taxes.
An appropriation from the officially adopted road fund budget and based on
the County Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the pur-
poses shown:
