SUMMARY STATEMENT.
This project will replace the existing four -way stop /flashing light with
a fully actuated traffic signal at the Northwest - West Bakerview intersection,
greatly enhancing traffic circulation in this vicinity.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Award of bid to the low bidder, Breaker Construction, Inc.
in the amount of $47,400.00, including taxes.

ESTABLISHING COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 99194
AND THE AWARD OF THE CONTRACT FOR
THE INTERSECTION SIGNALIZATION OF NORTHWEST
ROAD AT WEST BAKERVIEW ROAD
WHEREAS, this project is a part of the officially adopted 1990 Annual Road
Program in accordance with RCW 36.81.130 as Item No. 13.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council:
That CRP 99194 is formally established for the Intersection Signalization
of Northwest Road at West Bakerview Road.
The contract for this project is awarded to BREAKER CONSTRUCTION, INC. in
the amount of their bid of $47,396.00 including taxes.
An appropriation from the officially adopted road fund budget and based on
the County Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the pur-
poses shown:

Consultant Fees $ 6,100.00
Construction 47,400.00
Purchase of Signal Equipment 11,800.00
Construction Engineering, 4,400.00
Surveying and Misc. Contingency

$69,700.00
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the construction is to be accomplished by
contract in accordance with RCW 36.77.020 et seq.
