2 REGARDING HILL - BURTON FUNDS FOR THE
3 WHATCOM COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT
4 WHEREAS, Hill- Burton Funds were used to build the expanded facility and parking
5 lot of the Whatcom County Health Department, formerly the Bellingham- Whatcom County
6 Public Health District;
7 WHEREAS, that district was dissolved on April 1, 1989 when Whatcom County
8 withdrew from the health district;
9 WHEREAS, the district was acquired by County government and became the
10 Whatcom County Health Department.
11 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Health Board /County Council
12 of x`.11 —tc- m County accepts the Hill- Burton uncompensated and community service
13 o!)li ,.;:;!)ns of the Whatcom County Health Department, formerly the Bellingham - Whatcom
14 County District Department of Public Health, in accordance with Section 603(e) of the state
15 Public Health Service Act.
