Res90 -60 cthsadd. res 9 /8 /90 SPONSORED BY: Consent PROPOSED BY: Hansey INTRODUCTION DATE: -14 -90 1 RESOLUTION NO. 90 -60 2 AMENDING RESOLUTION 89 -59 AUTHORIZING CONSTRUCTION 3 OF JUVENILE FACM=S AND COURTHOUSE ADDMON 4 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council on June 15, 1989 authorized the 5 County Executive to proceed with development of a long -range capital facilities plan for 6 the courthouse campus, and 7 WHEREAS, that plan directed the new facilities to be located south of the 8 Courthouse using a multi -story building for administrative offices and juvenile detention 9 facilities, and 10 WHEREAS, it has been determined by the administration and the architects that 11 other plans would be more appropriate to carry out the intent of the resolution. 12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that 13 Resolution 89 -59 shall be amended as follows: 1. The location of the juvenile detention facilities and administration multi - l-) story building shall be located as proposed by KMD Architects & Planners and approved 16 by the administration and the County Council; 17 2.
