SUMMARY STATEMENT.
The 1990 Annual Construction Program has as Project No. 5, the
reconstruction of Hampton Road. This project is to be paid for
with Local and State Rural Arterial Program (RAP) funds. This is
part of our program to upgrade Hampton Road in its entirety to an
all- weather standard.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Award of bid to the low bidder, Wilder Construction Company
in the amount of $895,600.00, including taxes.

AND THE AWARD OF THE CONTRACT FOR RECONSTRUCTION
OF HAMPTON ROAD, M.P. 0.1 TO M.P. 2.6
WHEREAS, this project is a part of the officially adopted 1990 Annual Road
Program in accordance with RCW 36.81.130 as Item No. 5.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council:
That CRP 99184 is formally established for the Reconstruction of Hampton
Road. The contract for this project is awarded to Wilder Construction Company
in the amount of their bid of $895,600.00. and
An appropriation from the officially adopted road fund budget and based on
the County Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the pur-
poses shown:

ject.. Based on our review of the five bids received, we recommend award of
