5 A RESOLUTION TO FORM A TECHNICAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE
6 TO REVIEW, EVALUATE, AND REVISE
7 THE WHATCOM COUNTY DEVELOPMENT AND SUBDIVISION STANDARDS
8 PRIOR TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION REVIEW PROCESS
9 WHEREAS, the current Whatcom County Development
10 Standards were adopted by ordinance #84 -106 on November 15, 1984, and
11 WHEREAS, the original development standards were completed as
12 a result of a citizen's review committee, and
13 WHEREAS, the actual review, evaluation, and revision was
4 completed in March of 1983, and
15 WHEREAS, many changes in the federal, state, and county laws.
16 and regulations render the current development standards outdated, and
17 WHEREAS, the increased development throughout the county makes
18 the immediate revision of the development standards imperative,
19 NOW, BE IT RESOLVED that the land subdivision and
20 technical advisory committee be formed and it is authorized to provide
21 revisions and additions to the development and subdivision (Title 21)
22 standards which will bring these standards into compliance with current
23 federal, state, and county laws and regulations, and
24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the development and
25 subdivision (Title 21) standards be revised to include the clearing ordinance
26 and other land development standards and ordinances necessary to provide a
27 complete, workable document.
