SUMMARY STATEMENT.-
Whatcom County is required to develop and adopt a CFCMP per WAC 173-145, RCW86.26,
and the State of Washington Dept. of Ecology Grant No. G0088095•
RECOMMENDED ACTION.•
To enter into a contractual agreement with Brown and Caldwell, Consulting Engineers,
for the purpose stated above in the amount not to exceed $36,000.

RESOLUTION NO. 90 -30
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE TO ENTER INTO
A CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN WHATCOM COUNTY AND
BROWN AND CALDWELL, CONSULTING ENGINEERS,
FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A COMPREHENSIVE FLOOD CONTROL
MANAGEMENT PLAN (CFCMP) FOR WHATCOM COUNTY
WHEREAS, the County Council has determined that it is in the public
interest to proceed with the development of a CFCMP, and
WHEREAS, Whatcom County is required to develop and adopt a CFCMP per
WAC 173 -145, RCW 86.26, and the State of Washington Dept. of Ecology Grant No.
G0088095, and
WHEREAS, the firm of Brown and Caldwell have been selected in compliance
with RCW Ch. 39 -80, and
WHEREAS, any additional services require the prior written approval of the
Director of Public Works, with the approval of the County Council Finance
Committee.
NOW, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Council does hereby authorize the
County Executive to approve a contractual agreement with Brown and Caldwell of
Seattle, Washington, for the purpose stated herein, in the amount not to exceed
$36,000 for basic services with the provision that additional services shall
require the prior approval of the Director of Public Works, and the County Council
Finance Committee.
