RESOLUTION NO. 90 -14
DIRECTING THE AUDITOR TO ADVERTISE THAT
BIDS FOR THE COUNTY'S OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER WILL BE
OFFICIALLY OPENED, READ ALOUD AND CONSIDERED
WHEREAS, RCW 36.72.075 requires the County Council to contract with a
legal newspaper to serve one year as the official county newspaper beginning on the
first day of July; and
WHEREAS, said statute requires the County Auditor to advertise for bid
proposals from qualified legal newspapers interested in serving as the official county
newspaper; and
WHEREAS, said advertisement shall be made at least five weeks before the
meeting at which the Council shall let the contract for the official county newspaper;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council
that the County Auditor is directed to issue a call for bids for the official county
newspaper for the year beginning July 1, 1990 and ending June 30, 1991, both dates
inclusive. Said bids will be opened, read aloud and considered at 10 a.m. Tuesday,
March 27, 1990 in the Council's conference room, Courthouse second floor,
Bellingham.
