-SUMMARY STATEMENT.•
This Resolution is to surplus the structures located at 2101, 2105, and 2109 New Street
so a parking lot can be built for participants at /the Bellingham Senior Center. Funds
are allocated from the Parks 1988 Levy Fund and from the City of Bellingham for this project.
RECOMMENDED ACTION.•

5 RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF SETTING A DATE FOR PUBLIC
6 HEARING FOR DECLARING CERTAIN COUNTY -OWNED PROPERTY
7 SURPLUS PROPERTY PURSUANT TO RCW 36.34.020
8 WHEREAS, the County -owned property described herein, located in the City of
9 Bellingham, County of Whatcom, State of Washington, at 2101, 2105, and 2109 New Street,
10 more particularly described as follows:
11 Lot 1, Block 127, "Plat of Sylvan Subdivision," also that portion of Lot 7, Block
12 198 Supplemental Map of Whatcom lying southeasterly of the southeasterly line
13 of the alley in Block 127, "Plat of Sylvan Subdivision," extended in a straight
14 course southwesterly to Halleck Street;
15 Lot 2, Block 127, "Plat of Sylvan Subdivision," according to the Plat thereof,
16 recorded in Volume 5 of Plats, Page 36, Records of Whatcom County,
47 Washington;
18 Lot 3, Block 127, "Plat of Sylvan Subdivision," according to the Plat thereof,
19 recorded in Volume 5 of Plats, Page 36 Records of Whatcom County,
20 Washington;
21 is now and has been property of Whatcom County; and
22 . WHEREAS, the County Executive has determined that it is in the best interest of the
23 County and the people thereof to remove all structures from said property;
24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of Whatcom County,
25 Washington, that a public hearing on the matter of declaring said structures surplus be held on
26 the 14th day of January , 199, at 7:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as it is
27 possible, in the Whatcom County Council Chambers, Whatcom County Courthouse Annex, 1000
28 N. Forest Street, Bellingham, Washington, for the purpose of admitting testimony for and against
29 the selling of said structures.
