'SUMMARY STATEMENT.•
Passing this resolution will fulfill terms of an agreement between Trillium Corportion, David and Kay Syre
and Whatcom County which requires a fifty-foot right of way on the portion of Semiahmoo Parkway
crossing Semiahmoo Park. A previous resolution passed by the Council dedicated thirty of the required
fifty feet. This resolution will dedicate the remaining necessary twenty feet of property to allow for the
agreed -upon right of way, authorize the Executive to quit claim said property, and then will convey it to
the City of Blaine for use as a public street.

RESOLUTION NO. 91 -093
RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF DEDICATING
CERTAIN COUNTY -OWNED REAL PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC
USE AS A STREET TO THE CITY OF BLAINE
WHEREAS, Whatcom County owns certain real property
located within the City of Blaine; and,
WHEREAS, in Resolution No. 89 -110, the Whatcom County
Council authorized the County Executive to approve the quit
claim deed to convey a 30 foot wide strip, approximately 5,550
feet in distance, of said property to the City of Blaine to be
used as a public street, purportedly in accordance wi.th an
earlier agreement between Trillium Corporation, David R. and
Kay E. Syre, and Whatcom County; and,
WHEREAS, on January 1, 1990, the County Executive
signed a quit claim deed transferring Whatcom County's
interest in said 30 foot wide strip; and,
WHEREAS, said agreement between Trillium Corporation,
David R. and Kay E. Syre, and Whatcom County, attached hereto
and marked as Exhibit All provided for a 30 foot wide
right -of -way for the road only if it remained in its same
location; and,
WHEREAS, the road was in fact relocated and, therefore,
pursuant to said agreement, the right -of -way width of the road_
is required to be 50 feet; and,
WHEREAS, Whatcom County desires to dedicate additional
property, as.described in Exhibit "B" and deed attached hereto
and made part of this resolution, to comply with the
requirement for a 50 foot wide right -of -way for the road; and,
WHEREAS, Whatcom County has received the attached prior
written approval from the Trillium Corporation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Whatcom County
Council does hereby dedicate certain County -owned real
property and authorizes the County Executive to approve the

quit claim deed to the City of Blaine for said additional
property, in accordance with said agreement between Trillium
Corporation, David R. and Kay E. Syre, and Whatcom County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in accordance with R.C.W.
36.34.300, R.C.W. 36,73.010, R.C.W. 36.75.205 and Whatcom
County Home Rule Charter., the Whatcom County Council does
hereby dedicate and convey to the City of Blaine certain
County -owned real property as described herein for use as a
public street, and said Resolution shall be made and entered
upon the records designating the land so dedicated and shall
cause a certified copy of the order to be recorded in the
Auditor's Office.
