5 HEARING AND NOTICE OF HEARING ON
6 SALE OF COUNTY TAX TITLE PROPERTY
7 REQUEST NO. 61
8 WHEREAS, the following described property is now, and has been
9 the property of the County of Whatcom, State of Washington since
10 December 1989; and
11 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County council does deem it in the best
12 interest of the County and the people thereof that said property be
13 sold; and,
14 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Engineering, Public Works, Parks,
15 Planning, and Assessor Departments were contacted and expressed no
16 interest in retaining these properties for County use;
17 HOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is in the best interest
1B to sell five Emerald Lake lots as one group (see attached list), plus
19 costs,and further in this sale transferring all mineral rights; and,
20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said price shall not be allowed
21 under contract and shall be paid in either cash, certified check, or
22 money order to the Whatcom County Treasurer at the time of sale; and,
23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council, that
24 public hearing on the matter of the sale of said property, under said
2' terms, be held on the 14th day of May 1991, at
26 7 p. m. , at the Chambers, 1000 N. Forest, Bellingham, Whatcom County,
27 Washington; and
28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Whatcom County
29 Council shall give Notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by
30 law under R.C.W. 36.34. 030.
