SUMMARY STATEMENT.-
The Parks Department has notified Purchasing that approximately 500 trees
in Silver.Lake Park are now ready to be declared surplus in preparation .
for public sale. If declared surplus, the county intends to dispose of
them at public sale by. award to the highest responsive and responsible bidder
following an advertised call for sealed bids.

RESOLUTION NO. 91 -021
A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE
SALE OF WHATCOM COUNTY SURPLUS PROPERTY
PURSUANT TO WCC 1.10
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on April 9 1991 to
discuss the sale of Whatcom County property; and
WHEREAS, It was determined to be in the best interest of Whatcom
County to sell 500 trees in Silver Lake Park which were uprooted by
a windstorm;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that
such property shall be sold at public sale by award to the highest
responsive and responsible bidder, following an advertised call for
sealed bids.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the minimum acceptable bid shall be
$28,000.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that proceeds of the sale are to go to
the Park Fund.
