SUMMARY STATEMENT.•
The Parks Department has notified Purchasing that approximately 500 trees
in Silver.Lake Park are now ready to be declared surplus in preparation .
for public sale. If declared surplus, the county intends to dispose of
them at public sale by award to the highest responsive and responsible bi -dder
following an advertised call for sealed bids.
ORIGINATOR'S RECOMMENDED ACTION.-
Set a date for public hearing to consider declaring the timber surplus.

RESOLUTION NO. 91 -017
A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE.
SALE OF WHATCOM COUNTY SURPLUS PROPERTY
AND THE SETTING OF A DATE FOR PUBLIC
HEARING THEREON PURSUANT TO WCC 1.10
WHEREAS, approximately 500 trees in Silver Lake Park which were
uprooted by a windstorm are now and have been the property of
Whatcom County; and
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Executive has determined that it is in
the best interest of the County to sell such property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that a
public hearing on the matter of the sale of such property be held on
the 9TH day of APRrr, , 1991, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon
thereafter as is possible, in the Whatcom County Council Meeting
Room at 1000 North Forest Street, Bellingham, Washington, for the
purpose of admitting testimony for and against the propriety of
selling such property; and
