Yes /I./ No SUMMARY STATEMENT.• The Department of Public Works has notified Purchasing that the Caterpillar 8166 landfill compactor which.had been used at the Cedarville landfill is now surplus to the department's needs. If declared surplus, the county intends to dispose -of -it at public sale by award to the highest responsive. and responsible bidder following an advertised call for sealed.bids. ORIGINATOR'S RECOMMENDED ACTION.• Set a date for public hearing to consider declaring the equipment surplus. Ordinance or Resolution Number RES91 -016 INTRODUCED BY: CONSENT PROPOSED BY:- EXECUTIVE DATE INTRODUCED:- 3/26/91 RESOLUTION NO. 91 -016 A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE SALE OF WHATCOM COUNTY SURPLUS PROPERTY AND THE SETTING OF A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING THEREON PURSUANT TO WCC 1.10 WHEREAS, a Caterpillar Model 816B landfill compactor which had been used at the Cedarville Landfill is now and has been the property of Whatcom County; and WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Executive has determined that it is in the best interest of the County to sell such property; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that a public hearing on the matter of the sale of such property be held on the gTH day of APRIL , 1991, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as is possible, in the Whatcom County Council Meeting Room at 1000 North Forest Street, Bellingham, Washington, for the purpose of admitting testimony for and against the propriety of selling such property; and APPROVED this 26TH day of MARCH , 1991.
