which she will open them and make a - recommendation for bid
award to the Council in April.

RESOLUTION NO. 91 -005
DIRECTING THE AUDITOR TO ADVERTISE THAT
BIDS FOR THE COUNTY'S OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER WILL
BE OFFICIALLY OPENED, READ ALOUD AND CONSIDERED
WHEREAS, RCW 36.72.075 requires the County Council
to contract with a legal newspaper to serve one year -as the
official county newspaper beginning on the first day of July;
and,
WHEREAS, said statute requires the County Auditor to
advertise for bid proposals from qualified legal newspapers
interested in serving as the official county newspaper; and,
WHEREAS, said advertisement shall be made at least
five weeks before the meeting at which the Council shall let
the contract for the official county newspaper; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County
Council that the County Auditor is directed to issue a call
for bids for the official county newspaper for the year
beginning July 1, 1991 and ending June 30, 1992, both dates
inclusive. Said bids will be opened, read aloud and considered
at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 1991 in the Executive's
conference room, Courthouse second floor,
