1 RESOLUTION NO. 91-001
2 ORDERING THE CANCELLATION OF UNCOLLECTIBLE PERSONAL
3 PROPERTY TAXES FILED WITH THE AUDITOR ON JANUARY 2, 1991
4 WHEREAS, in accordance with RCW 84.56.240, each year in January the Whatcom
5 County Treasurer presents a list of uncollectible personal property taxes to the Whatcom
6 County Auditor, who in turn presents them to the County Council for cancellation; and
7 WHEREAS, the list was delivered to the Council January 3, 1991; and
8 WHEREAS, the County Auditor respectfully requests cancellation of these
9 uncollectible taxes, incorporated herein as Exhibit A, in accordance with RCW 84.56.240;
10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that the
1.1 personal property taxes listed as uncollectible in Exhibit A are hereby cancelled; and
12 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the County Council Office staff will send
13 notification of the passage of this resolution to both the Treasurer and the Auditor.

Uncollectable Personal Property Taxes

In accordance with R.C.W. 84.56.240 the County Auditor is to
present a list of uncollectable personal property taxes, with an
affidavit from the County Treasurer, to the County Legislative
Authority at their first meeting in January.
Attached is the list and the affidavit from the County Treasurer
and Revenue Deputy.
The County Legislative Authority shall cancel such taxes they are
satisfied cannot be collected.
Please return a copy of the signed resolution to the Auditor and
Treasurer's offices.
