COMMITTEE ACTION TAKEN: COUNCIL ACTION TAKEN: 9/8/92: Council approved the resolution. 7-0 Related File Numbers: Ordinance or Resolution Number (this item only): R92 -60 Consent SPOr' -)RED BY: PROPWED BY: Treasurer INTRODUCTION DATE: 9/$/92 RESOLUTION NO. 92 -060 2 HEARING AND NOTICE OF HEARING ON 3 SALE OF COUNTY TAX TITLE PROPERTY 4 REQUEST NO. 74 5 WHEREAS, the following described property is now, and has been the property of 6 the County of Whatcom, State of Washington since October 1942; and 7 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council does deem it in the best interest of the 8 County and the people thereof that said property be sold; and, 9 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Property Management Committee has 10 recommended the sale of the subject property at no less than seventy five percent of its 11 assessed value, or the sum of taxes owing plus any additional costs and liens at the time of 12 foreclosure; 13 WHEREAS, the assessed value of said property is $2500.00 and seventy five percent 14 of the assessed value is $1875.00, and taxes plus foreclosure costs total $9.82; 15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is in the best interest of the 16 County to sell Parcel #400108 - 010340 for the recommended minimum price of $1875.00, 17 plus costs, and further in this sale transferring all mineral rights; and, 18 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said price shall not be allowed under contract 19 and shall be paid in either cash, certified check, or money order to the Whatcom County 20 Treasurer at the time of sale; and, 21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council, that a public 22 hearing on the matter of the sale of said property, under said terms, be held on the 8th 23 day of September ' 1992, at 7=00 p.m., at the Council Chambers, 1000 N.
