Smeary -- The 1991 Annual Construction Project has Item No. 10, Marine Drive; Bennett
Drive to Bellingham City limits,.CRP 99217. The first stage of this project was to
install storm.drainage under the Burlington Northern Railroad tracks at the time they
are reconstructing the railroad crossing. The second stage of this project is to complete
the drainage system that was partially installed under Stage 1 and widen the existing
roadway from 22' to 44'.with curb, gutters and sidewalks.
ORIGINATOR'S RECOMMENDED ACTION.' Award of bid to the low bidder, Hen i f i n &
Associates, Inc. in the amount of $478,967.00, including taxes.

ESTABLISHING COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 99217 - STAGE 2
RECONSTRUCTION OF MARINE DRIVE FROM
LITTLE SQUALICUM BRIDGE TO BENNETT DRIVE
T.I.B. No. 8 -2- 037(04) STAGE 2
WHEREAS, this project is included in the officially adopted 1992 Annual
Road Program in accordance.with RCW 36.81.130 as Item No. 10.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council:
That CRP 99217 - Stage 2, is formally established for the Reconstruction of
Marine Drive from Little Squalicum Bridge to Bennett Drive. The contract for
this project is awarded to Henifin & Associates in the amount of their bid of
$478,967.00, and
An appropriation from the officially adopted road fund budget and based on
the County Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the pur-
poses shown:
