YES /_/ NO /_/ (Please explain below) Budget line item number(s): tin April 14, 1992 the Whatcom County Council awarded a bid to replace the target carrier system at the Parks Department's Plantation Rifle Range. The old system, an Accra -Trac, manufactured by Detroit Bullet Trap Corporation In 1977, has reached the end of its useful life. Purchasing is requesting approval on behalf of Parks to sell the old system at public sale to the highest bidder, in accordance with WCC 1.10, the county property ordinance. ORIGINATOR'S RECOMMENDED ACTION. Hold a public hearing and, if appropriate, resolve to sell property. COMMITTEE ACTION TAKEN. ')UNCIL ACTION TAKEN. 526/92: Council approved resolution. 7 -0 Related File Numbers: Ordinance or Resolution Number (this item only): R92 -036 INTRODUCED BY: Consent PROPOSED BY: Purchasing DATE INTRODUCED: May 26, 1992 RESOLUTION NO. 92 -036 A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE SALE OF WHATCOM COUNTY SURPLUS PROPERTY AND THE SETTING OF A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING THEREON PURSUANT TO WCC 1.10 WHEREAS, an Acra -Trac rifle range target carrier system manufactured by Detroit Bullet Trap Corporation is the property of Whatcom County; and WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Purchasing Manager has determined that it is in the best interest of the County to sell such property, and has set its value at an amount in excess of $1,000; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that a public hearing on the matter of the sale of such property be held on the 9th day of June , 1992, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as is possible, in the Whatcom County Council Meeting Room at 1000 North Forest Street, Bellingham, Washington, for the purpose of admitting testimony for and against the propriety of selling such - equipment; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County Council is directed to give notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law.
