Request number 69. The property in question is: Parcel #400522- 181176, Peaceful Valley, Division 1, Lot 258. ORIGINATOR'S RECOMMENDED ACTION: Recommend the council approve the resolution and set the hearing. COMMITTEE ACTION (including dates): COUNCIL ACTION (including dates): 3/10/92: Council approved the resolution. 7-0 belated File Numbers: Ordinance or Resolution Number: R92 -023 1 SPONSORED BY: Consent PROPOSED BY: TREASURER INTRODUCTION DATE: 4 RESOLUTION NO. 92 -023 5 HEARING AND NOTICE OF HEARING ON 6 SALE OF COUNTY TAX TITLE PROPERTY 7 REQUEST NO. 69 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 2? 2. 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 WHEREAS, the following described property is now, and has been the property of the County of Whatcom, State of Washington since January 1989; and WHEREAS, the Whatcom County council does deem it in the best interest of the County and the people thereof that said property be sold; and, WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Property Management Committee has recommended the sale of the subject property at no less than seventy five percent of its assessed value, or the sum of taxes owing plus any additional costs and liens at the time of foreclosure; WHEREAS, the assessed value of said property is $7500.00 and seventy five percent of the assessed value is $5625.00, and taxes plus foreclosure costs total $6175.50; HOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is in the best interest to sell Parcel #400521 - 513315 for the recommended minimum price of $6175.50, plus costs, and further in this sale transferring all mineral rights; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said price shall not be allowed under contract and shall be paid in either cash, certified check, or money order to the Whatcom County Treasurer at the time of sale; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council, that public hearing on the matter of the sale of said property, under said terms, be held on the 24th day of March 1992, at 7:00 p. m. , at the Whatcom County Council Chambers .
