The 1991 Annual Construction Project has item No. 10, Marine Drive: Bennett
Drive to Bellingham City limits, CRP 99217. The first stage of this project is to
install storm drainage under the Burlington Northern Railroad tracks at the time they
are reconstructing the railroad crossing. The B.N.R. are allowing us to "open cut"
these tracks thus saving the County about $24,000 in additional cost of specialized
equipment to bore this drainage under the tracks when the crossing is active.
ORIGINATOR'S RECOMMENDED ACTION.- Award of bid to the low bidder, Pottle & -Sons
Construction, Inc. in the amount of $27,533.00, including taxes.

ESTABLISHING COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 99217 - STAGE 1
CONSTRUCTION OF STORM DRAINAGE ON MARINE DRIVE
UNDER RAILROAD TRACKS
T.I.B. NO. 8 =2- 037(04) STAGE 1
WHEREAS, this project is a part of the officially adopted 1992 Annual Road
Program in accordance with RCW 36.81.130 as Item No. 10.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council:
That CRP 99217 - Stage 1, is formally established for the Construction of
Storm Drainage on Marine Drive under Railroad Tracks. The -contract for this
project is awarded to Pottle & Sons Construction, Inc. in the amount of their
bid of $27,533.00, an

the County Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the pur-
