SUMMARY STATEMEAT
Dan Fitzgerald, Deputy Director, Whatcom County*Emergency Management, has.
requested Purchasing to dispose of a partially equipped packaged field hospital
currently stored in;:the Army Reserve Center on Roeder Avenue, Bellingham. The
equipment was acquired by Emergency Services before it became partiiof. County
government in January 1990. Fitzgerald has determined that none of-the
items remaining in the unit are Useful for local agencies or services.
The County intend5•;to dispose of the - equipment by•donating it to the federal
Office of- Emergency Preparedness, which has offered to pay all loading and
transportation costs.
- ORIGINATOR'S RECOMMENDED ACTION -
Set a date for public hearing, hold a hearing and, -if satisfactory, resolve
to donate the equipment to the Office of Emergency Preparedness.*

RESOLUTION NO. 92 -017
A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE
DISPOSAL OF WHATCOM COUNTY SURPLUS PROPERTY
PURSUANT TO WCC 1.10
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on February 11 , 1992 to
discuss the disposal of a partially equipped packaged field
hospital, consisting of the items listed in Exhibit "A ",hereby
incorporated by reference; and
WHEREAS, It was determined to be in the best interest of Whatcom
County to' dispose of such property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that
the property listed in Exhibit "A" shall be donated to the federal
Office of Emergency Preparedness for the National Disaster Medical
System.
