SUMMARY STATEMENT.•
The County Treasurer and County Auditor are required by law to present the list of uncollectible personal
property taxes to the Council for cancellation. It appears on the addendum to the agenda because it had
been mistakenly grouped the resolution cancelling personal property taxes more than four years
delinquent (AB92 -031).

2 CANCELLING UNCOLLECTIBLE 1991 PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES
3 . WHEREAS, RCW 84.56.240 requires that the Treasurer present the County Auditor
4 with a list of uncollectible personal property taxes, for delivery to the Whatcom County
5 Council; and
6 WHEREAS, the County Auditor did receive and then transmit that document as
7 required; and
8 WHEREAS, Council action is required to formally cancel the uncollectible personal
9 property taxes for 1991;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that the
list of 1991 uncollectible personal property taxes, attached hereto as Exhibit A, are hereby
cancelled..
