employee status

SUMMARY STATEMENT.•
The County Council added in the 1992 budget $6,000 in appropriation for professional services to provide
full -time contract employment for the Noxious Weed Control Supervisor. Now that the position is full-
time, uses county office space and equipment it must be converted to employee status rather than
professional service contract. The Weed Board Chair will review whether or not a supplemental budget
will be required after being made aware of the salary and benefit costs of the change in status.

RESOLUTION NO. 92 -008
TO ADD A PERMANENT POSITION
TO THE NOXIOUS WEED CONTROL BOARD
WHEREAS, the County Council added $6,000 in professional services
appropriation to the Executive's recommended '92 budget; and
WHEREAS, this additional appropriation was intended to increase the Noxious
Weed Control Supervisor's hours to full-time; and
WHEREAS, now that the Weed Board Supervisor's position is full-time, and uses
county office space and equipment, the position must be given County employee status;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Noxious Weed Board
Supervisor's position be added as a County employee and that the position be placed on
the appropriate salary matrix and that full benefits be accorded the position.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Administration present the Council
with a request for any additional appropriation made necessary by virtue of this change
in status for the position in question.
