SUMMARY STATEMENT.-
The County's IBM System;36 computer has been,T roviding law and justice 'services.
It isnplanned to be rep))aced by a new IBM AS /400. If declared surplus,
the County intends4to dispose of this equipment-at public sale to-the highest
responsive and responsible bidder following an advertised call for sealed..
bids.

RESOLUTION NO. 92 -001
A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE
SALE OF WHATCOM COUNTY SURPLUS PROPERTY
AND THE SETTING OF A DATE FOR PUBLIC
HEARING THEREON PURSUANT TO WCC 1.10
WHEREAS, an IBM System /36 computer with additional disk upgrade, and
an IBM 8809/C1 computer tape drive are the property of Whatcom
County; and
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Purchasing Manager has determined that
it is in the best interest of the County to sell such property, and
has set its value at an amount in excess of $1,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that a
public hearing on the matter of the sale of such property be held on
the 28th day of January , 1992, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon
thereafter as is possible, in the Whatcom County Council Meeting
Room at 1000 North Forest Street, Bellingham, Washington, for the
purpose of admitting testimony for and against the propriety of
selling such equipment; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County Council is
directed to give notice of such hearing in the manner'prescribed by
law.
