A 20 mil thick geomembrane was installed at Cedarville Landfill during the first phase of the closure project in 1991.
In the summer of 1993 it was removed, replaced with a permanent 60 mil liner, and stockpiled at the Cedarville site.
bert 7urica, Solid Waste Manager, is ,requesting that it be declared surplus so that it may be sold by sealed bid.

RESOLUTION NO. 93 -061
_ A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE
SALE OF WHATCOM COUNTY SURPLUS PROPERTY
AND THE SETTING OF A DATE FOR PUBLIC
HEARING THEREON PURSUANT TO WCC 1.10
WHEREAS, approximately 80,000 square feet of 20 mil thick high density polyethylene
geomembrane is the property of Whatcom County; and .
WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Purchasing Manager has determined that it is in the best
interest of the County to sell such property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that a public
hearing on the matter of the sale of such property be held on the 26th day of
October ' 1993, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as is possible, in the
Whatcom County Council Meeting Room at 1000 North Forest Street, Bellingham,
Washington, for the purpose of admitting testimony for and against the propriety of selling
such property; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County Council is directed to give notice
of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law.
