1 RESOLUTION NO. 93-059
2 OFFERING RECOGNITION TO THE NORTH
3 SOUND REGIONAL SUPPORT NETWORK
4 WHEREAS, Whatcom County has joined a five- County consortium known as the
5 North Sound Regional Support Network, hereinafter referred to as "the Network ;" and
6 . WHEREAS, the Network, and Whatcom County as part of the Network, has
7 succeeded in meeting goals set out by Legislative mandate set into RCW 71.24 in 1989; and
8 WHEREAS, the National Association of Counties has recognized the Network for
9 distinguished and continuing contributions to the cause of strong and efficient County
10 Government in the United States of America;
11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that the
? Whatcom County Council formally recognizes the contribution of the Network, as well as
0 that if its own County staff and the Whatcom County mental health provider system in the
14 changes implemented, improvements made, and economics achieved in both quality and
15 quantity of care for the mentally ill since 1987.
