and that they wish to have time to establish proof of ownership. This resolution would instruct the Treasurer
to withdraw this parcel from the sale and to place the sale of that property on hold for six months to allow
Marieta Thompson and Evelyn Crabtree of Blaine time to do a survey and determine, to the Assessor's
satisfaction, the size and ownership of that parcel.

2 AUTHORIZING THE WHATCOM COUNTY TREASURER
3 TO WITHDRAW FROM SALE PROPERTIES
4 DECLARED TO BE SURPLUS (BLAINE AREA)
5 WHEREAS, R.C.W. 84.64.270 and R.C.W. 36.34.010 allows the County to sell real
6 estate when it is found to be in the County's best interest; and
7 WHEREAS, on March 2, 1993, a public hearing was held to determine if it was in the
8 County's best interest to sell certain properties; and
9 WHEREAS, no testimony was received and the Whatcom County Council did
10 determine to sell certain properties and instructed the Whatcom County Treasurer to
11 proceed with the sale; and
12 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Treasurer notified certain property owners of the
13 pending sale; and
14 WHEREAS, it has now come to the attention of the Whatcom County Treasurer and
15 the Whatcom County Council that property owners have come forward indicating there is
16 some dispute over the size and ownership of a certain property, and that they wish to have
17 time to establish proof of ownership; and
18 WHEREAS, the property is described as follows:
19. Parcel No. 400106 070334, Plat of Rosbrugh's first addition to Blaine, Block 1, Lot

8, except the south 25 feet thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Whatcom County Council
instructs the Whatcom County Treasurer to withdraw this parcel from the sale scheduled
June 10, 1993, and to place the sale of that property on hold for six months to allow
Marieta Thompson and Evelyn Crabtree of Blaine time do a survey and determine, to the
Assessor's satisfaction, the size and ownership of that parcel.
