The purpose of this resolution is to withdraw from sale a property declared to be surplus which is located in
Sandy Point. It may be in the public's best interest to withdraw certain property from the sale list in order to
ermine the precise nature of ownership, and attempt to determine whether public access would be possible
or desirable.

1 RESOLUTION NO. 93 -057
2 AUTHORIZING THE WHATCOM COUNTY TREASURER
3- TO WITHDRAW FROM SALE A PROPERTY
4 DECLARED TO BE SURPLUS (SANDY POINT)
5 WHEREAS, R.C.W. 84.64.270 and R.C.W._36.34.010 allows the County to sell real
6 estate when it is found to be in the County's best interest, and;
7 WHEREAS, on March 2, 1993, a public hearing was held to determine if it was in the
8 County's best interest to sell certain properties, and;
7 WHEREAS, no testimony was received and the Whatcom County Council did
10 determine to sell certain properties and instructed the Whatcom County Treasurer to
11 proceed with the sale, and;
12 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Treasurer notified certain property owners of the
13 pending sale; and
14 WHEREAS, it has now come to the attention of the Whatcom County Treasurer and
15 the Whatcom County Council that it may be in the public's best interest to withdraw certain
16 property from the sale list in order to determine the precise nature of ownership, and
17 attempt to determine whether public access would be possible or desirable; and
18 WHEREAS, the property is .described as follows:

19 Parcel No. 380108 532004, Ferndale, Bolster's Sandy Point Tracts #2, Lot 106 though
ZO 112 Exc N. 144 ft thereof.
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Whatcom County Council
22- instructs the Whatcom County Treasurer to withdraw this parcel from the sale scheduled
23 June 10, 1993.
