Yes // No /_ f SUMMARY STATEMENT.• This Resolution is to surplus a portion of Euclid Park Property (North Lake Whatcom) and sell this park property to the City of Bellingham for $275,000 with the conditions that the use of the land must be limited to a park, open space or watershed reserve in perpetuity. Proceeds from the purchase will be used to purchase the County's share of the Chuckanut Mountain acquisition. RECOMMENDED ACTION.• Recommend passage. INTRODUCED BY: PROPOSED BY: Consent Executive DATE INTRODUCED: June 22, 1993 RESOLUTION NO. 93 -045 5 A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE SALE OF WHATCOM 6 COUNTY SURPLUS PROPERTY PURSUANT TO WCC 1.10 7 WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on July 13 , 1993 , to discuss the sale of 8 Whatcom County property; and 9 WHEREAS, it was determined to be in the best interest of Whatcom County to sell a portion of the 10 Euclid Park Property (North Lake Whatcom) located in the City of Bellingham, County of Whatcom, State 11 of Washington, more particularly described as follows: 12 Parcel A: 380327 - 323063 13 All of Government Lot 2, Section 27, Township 38 North, Range 3 East of W.M., EXCEPT 14 the east 968.5 feet thereof; ALSO Beginning at a point 968.5 feet west of the initial point 15 fixes and described as follows: 16 A stake set in the ground at the intersection of the east line of the southwest quarter of the 17 southeast quarter of the aforesaid Section 27, and the north line of Geneva Road No. 131, 18 Whatcom County, Washington; thence north following the west line of the Long Tract to the 19 south line of said Government Lot 2; thence west along the south line of Lot 2; 352.5 feet, 20 more or less, to a stake at the southwest corner of said Lot 2; thence south along the center 21 line of the aforesaid Section 27, to the south quarter corner thereof, EXCEPT a 30 foot strip 22 to the County off a portion of this line as part of Larson Road; thence east along the south 23 line of said Section to intersect the west line of the aforesaid Geneva Road; thence 24 northeasterly along the northwesterly line of said road to a point directly east of the point of 25 beginning; thence west 400 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. 26 Parcel E: 380334 - 312536 27 All that portion of the northwest quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 34, Township 38 28 North, Range 3 East of W.M., which lies north and west of the County Road known as the 29 Geneva Road, EXCEPT that part conveyed to Whatcom County by deed recorded in Volume 30 87 of deeds, page 544, records of Whatcom County, Washington. 31 Parcel I: 380327- 347143 32 Beginning at a point 968.5 feet west and 365 feet north of the intersection of the east line of 33 the southwest quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 27, Township 38 North, Range 3 34 East of W.M., and the north line of Geneva Road, being County Road No. 131; and running 35 thence north 51 -1/2° east 164 feet to a point; thence north 24 -1/20 east 153 -1/2 feet to a 36 point; thence north 190 west to the Government meander line; thence along said Government 37 meander line southwesterly to a point due north of the point of beginning of this description; thence south to the point of beginning 2 Beginning at a point 776.5 feet west of the initial point fixed and described as follows: 3 A stake in the ground at the intersection of the east line of the southwest quarter of the 4 southeast quarter of Section 27, Township 38 North, Range 3 east of W.M., and the north line 5 of Geneva Road, being County Road No. 131; thence west 192 feet to the east line of the 6 land owned by Valentine V. Lowe; thence north along said Valentine V.
