Parcel # 370631 - 176341, R/W FOR LOGGING RD ACROSS GOVT LOT 2- SITUATE IN SECTION 31
TOWNSHIP 37 RANGE 6 EAST.

1 RESOLUTION NO. 93 -038
2 HEARING AND NOTICE OF HEARING ON
3 DONATION OF COUNTY OWNED PROPERTY
4 REQUEST NO. 77
5 WHEREAS, the following described property is now, and has been the property of
6 the County of Whatcom, State of Washington for an unknown period of time; and,
7 WHEREAS, parcels numbered 370630 - 173085 and 370631 - 076341 are landlocked in
8 the middle of DNR Forest Board Trust land and eventually, when harvested, seventy -five
9 percent of the revenues generated from the timber on these lands will go to Whatcom
10 County; and,
11 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Property Management Committee has
12 recommended the donation of the subject properties to the Washington State Department
13 of Natural Resources; and,
14 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council does deem it in the best interest of the
15 County and the people thereof that parcels numbered 370630 - 173085 and 370631 - 076341 be
16 donated to the Washington State Department of Natural Resources, and reserving from this
17 donation, all mineral rights; and,
18 WHEREAS, the assessed value for parcel number 370630 - 173085 is $8,750 and the
9 assessed value of parcel number 370631 - 076341 is $4,375; and,
0 WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Natural Resources will provide the
21 necessary document(s) for transferring ownership and also will pay for all costs necessary
22 for the transfer of ownership;
23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council, that a
24 public hearing on the matter of the donation of said property, under said terms, be held on
25 the 13thday of July , 1993, at 7 p.m., at the Council Chambers
26 , Whatcom County, Washington; and,
27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Whatcom County Council shall
28 give Notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law under R.C.W. 36.34.030.
