1 RESOLUTION NO. 93 -017
2 DECLARING APRIL 4-10,1993, AS "PUBLIC HEALTH WEEK"
3 WHEREAS, Governor Mike Lowry has declared April 4 -10 as Washington's second
4 annual "Public Health Week;" and
5 WHEREAS, the Council wishes to encourage individuals and communities to take
6 greater responsibility for their own health by avoiding unhealthy behaviors, by taking
7 appropriate preventive measures, and by making informed, cost - effective choices about the
8 use of health services.
9 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that
10 April 4 -10, 1993 will be declared "Public Health Week."
