2 HEARING AND NOTICE OF HEARING ON
3 SALE OF COUNTY OWNED PROPERTY AND
4 COUNTY TAX -TITLE PROPERTY
5 REQUEST NO. 75
6 WHEREAS, the following described property is now, and has been the property of
7 the County of Whatcom, State of Washington since January 1989 and dates prior; and
8 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council does deem it in the best interest of.the
9 County and the people thereof that said property be sold; and,
10 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Property Management Committee has
11 recommended the sale of the subject properties at no less than seventy five percent of their
12 assessed value, or if acquired through tax foreclosure, the sum of taxes owing plus any
13 additional costs and liens at the time of foreclosure; and,
-4 WHEREAS, the assessed value, seventy five percent of assessed value, taxes and
._5 foreclosure cost amounts (if tax- title) and the recommended minimum bid of subject
16 properties are as follows;

46 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is in the best interest of the County
47 to sell these parcels for the recommended minimum prices above, plus costs, and further in
48 this sale transferring all mineral rights; and,
49 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said prices shall not be allowed under contract
50 and shall be paid in either cash, cashier's check, or money order to the Whatcom County
51 Treasurer at the time of sale; and,
52 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council, that a public hearing
53 on the matter of the sale of said property, under said terms, be held on the 2nd day
54 of March 1993, at 7 p.m., at the Council Chambers, 1000 N. Forest,
55 Whatcom County, Washington; and,
56 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Whatcom County Council shall
57 give Notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law under R.C.W. 36.34.030.
