1 RESOLUTION NO. 94 -050
2 APPOINTING TERRY UNGER AS ELECTION SUPERVISOR FOR
3 THE IRRIGATION DISTRICT FORMATION ELECTION
4 WHEREAS, the Council by resolution set November 17, 1994 as an election date
5 for the proposed formation of an irrigation district to be known as the Whatcom
6 Agricultural Water District; and
7 WHEREAS, in order for this election date to be accommodated, the Council
8 must hire an election supervisor who will in turn arrange for the hiring of a crew of
9 election workers; and
10 WHEREAS, Terry Unger has consented to act as election supervisor under the
11 conditions set by Council resolution on September 27, 1994;
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that
13 Terry Unger is hereby appointed as election supervisor for the purposes of managing and
14 overseeing the election for the proposed formation of the Whatcom Agricultural Water
15 District; and
16 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council Chair is hereby authorized to
17 enter into an agreement with Terry Unger which sets out the terms of his employment;
18 and
19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the rate of pay for Unger's services shall be

$15.00 per hour and services shall consist of those already adopted by Council resolution;
and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that Unger's appointment is effective immediately
and he may commence his work as soon as the agreement is entered into.
