Ordinance or Resolution Number (this item only): Res 94 -018 SPONSORED BY: Consent PROPOSED BY: Treasurer INTRODUCTION DATE: 3/8/94 1 2 RESOLUTION NO. 94 -018 3 HEARING AND NOTICE OF HEARING ON 4 SALE OF COUNTY TAX -TITLE PROPERTY 5 REQUEST NO: 94 -1 6 WHEREAS, the following described property is now, and has been the property of the 7 County of Whatcom, State of Washington since December 21, 1993 and dates prior; and 8 . WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council does deem it in the best interest of the County 9 and the people thereof that said property be sold; and, 10 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Property Management Committee has recommended the 11 sale of the subject properties at no less than the recommended minimum bid amounts indicated 12 below; and, 13 WHEREAS, the legal descriptions for the subject parcels are listed in the attached "Exhibit 14 A" and the assessed value, taxes, foreclosure costs and recommended minimum bids are as follows: 15 Recommended 1.6 Parcel Number Assessed Value Taxes & Costs Minimum Bid 17 400131 - 031326 -0226 $1,045.00 $905.21 $500.00 18 400131 - 031326 -0230 1,045.00 905.21 500.00 19 400131 - 031326 -0284 1,190.00 916.15 500.00 20 400131- 031326 -0285. 1,190.00 916.24 500.00 21 410131 - 352245 -0000 1,750.00 unknown 1,750.00 22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is in the best interest of the County to 23 sell these parcels for the recommended minimum prices above, plus costs, and further in this sale 24 transferring all mineral rights; and, 25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said prices shall not be allowed under contract and 26 shall be paid in either cash, cashier's check, or money order to the Whatcom County Treasurer at the 27 time of sale; and, 28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council, that a public hearing 29 on the matter of the sale of said property, under said terms, be held on the 22nd day of March 30 1994, at 7:00 p.m., at the Courthouse Annex , Whatcom County, Washington; and, 31 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Whatcom County Council shall give 32 Notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law under R.C.W. 36.34.030.
