The Council has the power to order the county treasurer to make segregation on the original assessment rolls,
h that segregation to be made as nearly as possible on the same basis as the original assessment was levied.
ne total of the segregated parts of the assessment shall equal the assessment before segregation.
This section also states that the county treasurer shall require that the person seeking the segregation pay to
the county reasonable engineering, clerical and related costs incidental to making the segregation (those funds
would be deposited to the LRID account for administration costs). No provision has been made at this time
for collection of such costs.

1 RESOLUTION NO. 94-013
2 ORDERING THE SEGREGATION OF LOCAL AND ROAD IMPROVEMENT
3 DISTRICT NO. 9, SEGREGATION NO. 94 -1
4 WHEREAS, Ordinance 87 -55 established procedures for the segregation of
5 special assessments in Local Improvement Districts and Road Improvement Districts,
6 establishing a fee and costs for each tract of land for which a segregation is to be made;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, Trillium Corporation has submitted a request for the segregation of
9 Parcels 4, 5 and 6 within L.R.I.D. No. 9, along.with a fee totaling $12.00 to cover the
10 Treasurer's processing fee of $3.00 for each parcel affected by the segregation; and
11 WHEREAS, the original tracts are described in Exhibit A, along with the
12 segregation history, and a map of the areas described; and
13 WHEREAS, the definition of boundaries of the divided parts and the amount of
14 the assessment chargeable to each part can be found in Exhibit A;
'S NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that
16 the request for segregation is deemed appropriate, and that the Treasurer's Office is
17 hereby ordered to make segregation on the original assessment rolls as indicated in
18 Exhibit A.
