6 SALE OF COUNTY OWNED PROPERTY
7 REQUEST NO. 79
8 WHEREAS, the following property located in the County of Whatcom, State of Washington,
9 described as follows:
10 Parcel No. 390421 - 544144, BEG 40 FT W FR SE COR OF NE SE -TH N 6 RODS -TH
11 W 8 RODS -TH S 6 RODS -TH E 8 RODS TO BEG -EXC PTN TO STATE FOR HWY
12 DESC AF 607254 -ALSO S 1/2 VAC RD 544 ABTG PER CVL 44012 - SITUATE IN
13 TOWNSHIP 39 SECTION 21 RANGE 4 EAST
14 also known as the Lawrence Township Hall, is now the property of Whatcom County and has been since .
15 March 29th, 1913; and,
16 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Executive's Office and Whatcom County Engineering, Public
17 Works, Parks, Planning, and Assessor Departments were contacted and expressed no interest in retaining
18 this property for County use; and,
19 WHEREAS, this parcel was appraised on September 8th, 1993 and the appraised value has been
20 set at $11,500.00; and,
21 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Property Management Committee has recommended the sale
2 of subject property for $8,625, seventy -five percent of the appraised value; and,
z3 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council does deems it in the best interest of the County to
24 sell said property;
25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE 'IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council, that public
26 hearing on the matter of the sale of said property, be held on the 1st day of March , 1994,
27 at 7:00 p.m., at the Courthouse Annex , Whatcom County, Washington; and,
28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Whatcom County Council shall give
29 Notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law under R.C.W. 36.34.030.
