;.s resolution sets the hearing on the proposed donation of county owned property mineral rights to the Washington State
.;partment of Natural Resources, request # 78 . The Whatcom County Council approved the donation of two parcels
of real property, including timber rights, on July 13th, 1993 on resolution # 93 -047. The Department of Natural Resources
has since requested that the mineral rights to these two parcels also be donated. The parcel numbers and legal descriptions
of the parcels related to the mineral rights in question are: Parcel # 370630 - 173085, R/W FOR LOGGING RD ACROSS
S 1/2 SW- SITUATE IN SECTION 30 TOWNSHIP 37 RANGE 6 EAST and Parcel # 370631 - 176341, R/W FOR
LOGGING RD ACROSS GOVT LOT 2- SITUATE IN SECTION 31 TOWNSHIP 37 RANGE 6 EAST.

1 RESOLUTION NO. 94 -010
2 HEARING AND NOTICE OF HEARING ON
3 DONATION OF COUNTY OWNED PROPERTY
4 REQUEST NO. 78 .
5 WHEREAS, the following described property is now, and has been the property of the
6 County of Whatcom, State of Washington for an unknown period of time; and,
7 WHEREAS, parcels numbered 370630 - 173085 and 370631- 076341, including timber on
8 these parcels, were approved for donation to the Washington State Department of Natural Resources
9 by the Whatcom County Council on July 13th, 1993, by resolution number 93 -047, and that this
10 donation reserved out coal, oil, gas, gravel, minerals, ores, fossils, or other resources on or in said
11 lands and the right to mine for and remove the same; and,
12 WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources has since requested that in addition to
13 the land and rights to timber, that this donation also include all coal, oil, gas, gravel, minerals, ores,
14 fossils or other resources on or in these two parcels; and,
15 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council does deem it in the best interest of the County
16 and the people thereof that all coal, oil, gas, gravel, minerals, ores, fossils or other resources on or
17 in parcels numbered 370630 - 173085 and 370631 - 076341 be donated to the Washington State
18 Department of Natural Resources; and,
19 WHEREAS, the Washington State Department. of Natural Resources will provide the
' o necessary document(s) for transferring ownership and also will pay for all costs necessary for the
21 transfer of ownership;
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council, that a public
23 hearing on the matter of the donation of said mineral rights, under said terms, be held on the 1st
24 day of March , 1994, at 7:00p.m., at the Courths. Anne.,xWhatcom County,
25 Washington; and,
26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Whatcom County Council shall give
27 Notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law under R.C.W. 36.34.030.
