2 HEARING AND NOTICE OF HEARING ON
3 SALE OF COUNTY OWNED PROPERTY
4 REQUEST NO. 95 -8
5 WHEREAS, the following described property is now, and has been the property of the
6 County of Whatcom, State of Washington since July 19, 1993; and
7 WHEREAS; the Whatcom County Council does deem it in the best interest of the County
8 and the people thereof that said property be sold; and,
9 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Engineering, Public Works, Parks, Planning, and Assessor
10 Departments were contacted and expressed no interest in retaining this property for County use; and,
11 WHEREAS,.the Whatcom County Property Management Committee recommends the sale
12 of the subject property at no less than $1,099.31 and that sale is to be without warranty as to the
13 suitability of the subject property for any use or purpose;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED. that it is in the best interest. of the County to sell
15 parcel 4370407- 436451 -0000 having legal description of SUDDEN VALLEY DIV 2 LOT 88, to
16 the highest and best bidder, for no less than $1,099.31 plus costs, and further in this sale transferring
17 all mineral rights, and that sale is to be without warranty as to the suitability of the subject property
18 for any use or purpose; and,
',9 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said price shall not be allowed under contract and shall
20 be paid in either cash, cashier's check, or money order to the Whatcom County Treasurer at the time
21 of sale; and,
22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council, that public hearing on the
23 matter of the sale of said property, under said terms, be held on the 3 day of October
24 1995, at 7 p.m., at the County Courthouse , Whatcom County, Washington; and,
25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Whatcom County Council shall give
26 Notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law under R.C.W. 36.34.030.
