RESOLUTION NO. 95 -057
2 HEARING AND NOTICE OF HEARING ON
3 SALE OF COUNTY OWNED PROPERTY
4 REQUEST NO. 95 -7
5 WHEREAS, the following described property is now, and has been the property of the
6 County of Whatcom, State of Washington since August 18, 1948; and
7 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council does deem it in the best interest of the County
8 and the people thereof that said property be sold; and,
9 WHEREAS,the Whatcom County Engineering, Public Works, Parks, Planning, and Assessor
10 Departments were contacted and expressed no interest in retaining this property for County use; and,
11 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Property Management Committee recommends the sale
12 of the subject property at no less than $46,500.00;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is in the best interest of the County to sell
14 parcel #400125- 014514 having legal description of TR 208.71 FT E -W- 417.42 FT N -S IN NW
15 COR OF NW 1 /4 -EXCL OF RD, to the highest and best bidder, for no less than $46,500.00 plus
16 costs, and further in this sale transferring all mineral rights; and,
17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said price shall not be allowed under contract and shall
8 be paid in either cash, cashier's check, or money order to the Whatcom County Treasurer at the time
19 of sale; and, i
20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council, that public hearing on the
21 matter of the sale of said property, under said terms, be held on the 3 day of . October ,
22 1995, at 7 p.m., at the county Courthouse , Whatcom County, Washington; and,
23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Whatcom County Council shall give
24 Notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law under R.C.W. 36.34.030.
