1 RESOLUTION NO. 95-056
2 HEARING AND NOTICE OF HEARING ON
3 SALE OF COUNTY TAX TITLE PROPERTY
4 REQUEST NO. 95 -6
5 WHEREAS, the following described property is now, and has been the property of.the
6 County of Whatcom, State of Washington since November 23, 1953; sand
7 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council does deem it in the best interest.of the County and
8 the people thereof that said property be sold; and,
9 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Property Management Committee has recommended the
10 sale of the subject property to the City of Bellingham, Washington, at no less than the sum of taxes
11 owing plus any additional costs and liens at the time of foreclosure, or a negotiated price, whichever
12 is greater; and,
13 WHEREAS, the sum of taxes plus foreclosure costs total $12.01; and,
14 WHEREAS, R.C.W. 84.64.320 allows for Tax Title property to be disposed of without bids
5 when the sale is to any governmental agency and for public purposes; and,
16 WHEREAS, Resolution 95 -005 designated the Whatcom County Treasurer as negotiator in
17 such sales; and,
18 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Treasurer has negotiated a sales price of $1,501.00;
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is in the best interest of the County to sell
20 Parcel #380328 - 061426 having legal description of. THAT PTN OF NW SW NW LY NELY OF
21 CITY OF BELLINGHAM TRACT, to the City of Bellingham, Washington for the negotiated price
22 of $1,501.00, and further in this sale transferring all mineral rights; and,
23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said price shall not be allowed under contract and shall
24 be paid in either cash, certified check, or money order to the Whatcom County Treasurer at the time
25 of sale; and,
26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council, that a public hearing on
27 the matter of the sale of said property, under said terms, be held on the 3 day of October ,
28 1995, at 7 p.m., at the Cn„nt- VCQurthnuGe , Whatcom County, Washington; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Whatcom County Council shall give
Notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law under R.C.W. 36.34.030.
