2 HEARING AND NOTICE OF HEARING ON
3 SALE OF COUNTY TAX TITLE PROPERTY
4 . REQUEST NO. 95 -5
5 WHEREAS, the following described property is now, and has been the property of the
6 County of Whatcom, State of Washington since December 20, 1953; and,
7 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Council does deem in the best interest of the County and
8 the people thereof that said property be sold; and,
9 WHEREAS, R.C.W. 84.64.320 allows for Tax Title property to be disposed of without bids
10 when the County legislative authority determines that it is not practical to build on the property due
11 to the physical characteristics of the property or legal restrictions on construction activities on the
12 property; and,
13 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Property Management Committee has determined that it
.4 is not practical to build on the property, and recommends the sale of the subject property, without
15 bids, at no less than the sum of taxes owing plus any additional costs and liens at the time of
16 foreclosure, or the negotiated price, whichever is greater; and, .
17 WHEREAS, the sum of taxes owing plus any additional costs and liens at the time of
18 foreclosure is $6.38; and,
19 WHEREAS, Resolution 95 -005 designated the Whatcom County Treasurer as negotiator in
20 such sales; and,
21 WHEREAS, the Whatcom County Treasurer has negotiated a sales price of $150.00;
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that it is not
23 practical to build on parcel #380224 - 107015, having legal description of HOLLY ADD -BLK
24 1 -THAT PART LOT 2 -BEG ON LI BTWN LOTS 1 -2 18.1 FT N OF SE COR SD LOT 2 -TH S
25 18.1 FT TO SE COR SD LOT 2 -TH NWLY ALG NLY LI ELDRIDGE AVE 2.5 FT -TH NELY
26 17.1 FT TO BEG, and it is in the best interest of the County to sell said parcel for the negotiated
27 price of $150.00, and further in this sale transferring all mineral rights; and,

28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said price shall not be allowed under contract and shall
29 be paid in either cash, certified check, or money order to the Whatcom County Treasurer at the time
30 of sale; and,
31 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council, that a public hearing on
32 the matter of the sale of said property, under said terms, be held on the � day of 0,t,,b, ,
33 1995, at 7 p.m., at the county courthouse , Whatcom. County, Washington; and,
34 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Whatcom County Council shall give
35 Notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law under R.C.W. 36.34.030.
