Ordinance or Resolution Number (this item only): Res. #95 -052 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 _3 14 15 16 17 18 19 mmm;.res 9/5/95 SPONSORED BY: Consent PROPOSED BY: Imhof INTRODUCTION DATE: 9/5/95 RESOLUTION NO. 95-052 REGARDING SOLVING ON- RESERVATION ISSUES WITHIN THE EXISTING NEGOTIATION PROCESS WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of all citizens of Whatcom County to solve all problems through negotiations; and WHEREAS, certain on- reservation issues have been brought to the public's attention; and WHEREAS, a negotiation process has been established with the Federal government, State government, and the Lummi Indian Tribe. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Whatcom .County Council supports a fair and equitable negotiation position for all effected parties; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council favors solving on- reservation issues within the existing negotiation process.
