RESOLUTION NO. 95 -05o
2 SUPPORTING THE NATIONAL ENERGY SYSTEMS COMPANY PROPOSED
3 RESIDENTIAL WASTE RECYCLING FACILITY PROJECT
4 WHEREAS, on June 20, 1995 the Whatcom County Council approved Resolution
5 95 -035, prioritizing Whatcom County projects for funding consideration by the Washington
6 Community Economic Revitalization Team; and
7 WHEREAS, the Council included the National Energy Systems Company proposal
8 to construct a residential waste paper recycling facility as one of the prioritized projects; and
9 WHEREAS, the National Energy Systems Company is currently preparing to move
10 forward with their project;
11 NOW, THEREFORE,. BE IT RESOLVED that the Whatcom County Council
12 supports the lobbying efforts of the National Energy Systems Company as they move toward
13 securing. tax exempt bond cap allocations from the Washington Department of Commerce,
_4 Trade, and Economic Development; and
15 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Whatcom County Council supports the
16 proposed construction of a residential waste recycling facility in Sumas, Washington.
