2 PRIORITIZING WHATCOM COUNTY PROJECTS FOR THE WASHINGTON
3 COMMUNITY ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION TEAM (WA -CERT)
4 . WHEREAS, the Washington Community Economic Revitalization Team (WA-
.5 CERT) has established pre - application requirements for proposals under the President's
6 Economic Adjustment Initiative for timber impacted communities; and
7 WHEREAS, the pre - application requirements mandate that the County pass a
8 resolution of support and establish numerical priorities for proposals submitted to WA-
9 CERT for 1996 funding consideration; and
10 WHEREAS, on April 25, 1995, the Whatcom County Council assigned Priorfty 1 to
11 Acme Water District 18 and Priority 2 to the Bellingham /Whatcom County Convention
12 Bureau; and
3 WHEREAS, the WA -CERT pre - application instructions state that projects do not
14 have to be ranked in the top three in order to receive funding or technical assistance;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that the
16 recommended prioritization of all projects received to date are as listed in Exhibit A.
