Summary: The 1995 Annual Construction Program has a Project No. 4, the Widening and Structural Overlay
of West Axton Road from Ferndale City Limits to Northwest Drive. This project will be paid for with Federal
Funds (STPE and PATH) and local funds.

ESTABLISHING COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 995014
AND THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR WIDENING AND STRUCTURAL
OVERLAY OF WEST AXTON ROAD
WHEREAS, this project is included in the officially adopted Annual Road Program
as Item No. 4.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council:
That CRP 995001 is formally established for the Widening and Structural Overlay of
Axton Road, Ferndale City Limits to Northwest Drive.
The Contract for this project is awarded to Whatcom Bbilders, Inc. in the amount
of their bid of $ 211,656.75.
Preliminary Engineering 91000
Subtotal 9.000
Construction $211,500
Construction Engineering 14,500
Total $235,000
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the construction is to be accomplished by
Contract in accordance with RCW 36.77.020 et. seq.
