Immediate Release SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING ON FRIDAY The Whatcom County Council is scheduled to meet in executive session on Friday to interview a candidate for the position of Clerk of the Council. The meeting will be at 9:30 a.m. in the Council Office conference room; a quorum may or may not be present. Any action taken will be in the form of a recommendation to the full Council. The full Council will take formal action resulting from this interview in public session at its meeting on Tuesday, February 28. Ramona Reeves, Clerk of the Council, is leaving the County's employment effective March 24. She has been in the position for seven years. Her last scheduled day in the office is March 1. The position of Clerk of the Council is appointed by the Council to manage the Council Office and clerical staff, and to maintain the Council's permanent records. -30- Legal citation: Council may interview a candidate for employment in executive session (closed to the public) pursuant to RCW 42.30. 110 (g).
