SUMMARY STATEMENT.•
The 1995 annual construction program has a project number 3, the structural
overlay of Slater Road. This project will be paid for with local funds and the
State County Arterial Preservation Program funds.

ESTABLISHING COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 995014
AND THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR STRUCTURAL OVERLAY
OF SLATER ROAD
WHEREAS, this project is included in the officially adopted Annual Road Program
as Item No. 3.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council:
That CRP 995014 is formally established for the Structural Overlay of Slater Road,
Ferndale Road to B.N.R.R..
The Contract for this project is awarded to Wilder Construction Company in the
amount of their bid of $349,918.00; and
An appropriation from the officially adopted Road Fund Budget and based on the
County Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purposes
shown:

Contract Award
Dear Mrs. Van Zanten:
Bid proposals for the subject project were opened at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 44, 1995.
Based on our review of the two bids received, we recommend that the Contract for the
subject project be awarded to the low bidder, Wilder Construction Company in the amount
of $349,918.00 including taxes.
This project is funded under Item No. 3 under the 1995 construction budget which was
approved last fall. The funds are adequate to complete the project. Local funds and funding
from the State County Arterial Preservation Program Account are involved.
Attached for your review is a copy of the low bid proposal, tabulation of all bids, Resolution
for Contract Award, Whatcom County Contract Information Sheet and a Whatcom County
Council Agenda Bill. Please signify on the Approval For Contract Award page your approval
to award the Contract to Wilder Construction Company.
